So Peerlist recently turned one and is on its way to becoming a more mature platform to network. And for those who don't know about peerlist let me just copy and paste what it is and what they do.

So, what is Peerlist?

Peerlist is a community-led professional network for people in tech with powerful work profiles at its core. A Peerlist profile can be used as a simple resume or a complete portfolio to showcase your work from Github, Dribbble, Product Hunt, and many more.

Ifor me peerlist is a tool/platform where I create a work profile and link my work stuff mostly GitHub and projects. Same as what they do.

The term that stands out for me when I'm looking at it was the "powerful work profiles at its core" and it's simply because of 2 reasons

1. LinkedIn just feels way clustered at some point and feels like another social media where I just keep scrolling. At this point, you can say I didn't understand the use case of LinkedIn.
2. Making a traditional one-page resume and keeping an updated copy to send to others feels like a hazel

Why peerlist feels good for me and can be for you!

Going through a peerlist profile makes it very convenient to look at a person and evaluate them if they are considered for the role. It has your Portfolio where all the stuff is linked and changes are directly reflected (obviously) it includes all from your article to the blog of the most platform with your GitHub repos to status And my fav. section to your projects adding projects detail is so easy to use. Most far my favorite - just name, URL, description, and image. In my experience, there are no restrictions on description except a word limit of 240 ( if you don't want to include then don't)

After that, a classic resume tab and we all know what that's experience, Edu, certification, community work. and hey for those you LinkedIn forks you can just import your resume with one click

The continued growth of the platform itself is amazing. From the time I joined to till date they keep adding new features, like the - scroll and the stack card design change, and category-wise differentiation, Jobs this remains me now you can join and create your profile as a recruiter and many more small updates (as from the dev. point of view always seems good).

ooh ya and the email replies were very fast from the @designerdada one of the founders itself regarding the issue I had with my profile at the beginning stage
